Hello! We're new around here, so introductions are in order.
We're John and Heather, the co-founders of Plantful Habit, an organization whose mission it is to support 10,000 families switching to a whole food, plant-based lifestyle, a journey we refer to as developing a "plantful habit". In short, we've come to believe that packing our plates with minimally processed, delicious plant-based foods is good for all of us – our bodies, our planet, the animals we live among. What we do have is a story to tell, and a friendly helping hand into the world of plant-based eating.
Here's some of what you can look forward to on this blog, published at least every other week in 2025, ranging from practical to theoretical:
🥙 Recipe roundups. Let's be real; we're all here for the food. But there are a million recipes and not enough time to try them all. So, we scour the web and the library for the best seasonal recipes, try things out on our family of four, and you get to hear how it goes. How does that sound?
💡 Tips and tricks. This is another favorite section, full of exactly the kind of "how to" advice we wished we had had years ago.
📚 Education and resources. What is whole food, plant-based all about? What's the difference between that and being vegan? We'll spotlight the healthful foods, helpful books and articles, and healthy communities that make your plantful habit make sense.
